A tiny story about mango sticky rice, Cape Town and timing from my rainy evening notes

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. multiplayer got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. This is more useful on a tired commute than on a perfect day.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. My friend tried it in Cairo and had the opposite result.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

@pandaMender54 That is a good boundary.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

Not wrong, but I think this underestimates how different people's constraints are. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Honestly, great taste.
