Can we talk about the underrated side of editing in Istanbul
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where photos stopped feeling new.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. film got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

Love the tiny experiment energy. I would test it for 5 days before deciding. The small imperfections make it feel human.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink underrated. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Not wrong, but I think this underestimates how different people's constraints are. I would love to see a follow-up after 7 weeks.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Yep, the boring details matter.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation.

@cometPilot37 This is the kind of disagreement I like.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The social part surprised me too.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. The 4-minute rule is underrated.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 7 months. This pairs weirdly well with falafel.

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. I keep a note about film for exactly this reason.

That would annoy me more than it helped. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a family dinner.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

The best answer in the thread, honestly.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

Kind of wild how often explained is the whole issue.

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

There is probably a middle ground here. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than São Paulo?
