Notes from a very normal busy month with AI Lab after a tiny failure

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 6 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make AI Lab feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. My friend tried it in São Paulo and had the opposite result.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. The 2-minute rule is underrated. The boring solution is probably the reliable one here.

Yep, the boring details matter.

This. Exactly this.

This reminds me of something a friend in Madrid mentioned. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. That is where the boring checklist helps. The boring solution is probably the reliable one here.

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.
