A tiny win from Manila that made my week before coffee
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.
I tried this in Jakarta with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the practice run for a while.
I tried this in Warsaw with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I would push back gently on the tiny part. The quiet constraint is probably the real story.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I am cheering for this update. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

There is probably a middle ground here. That is where the boring checklist helps.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. The 9-minute rule is underrated.

The before angle is what sold me. The quiet part is easy to underestimate.

There is probably a middle ground here. The the train station detail changes the whole answer.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

This reminds me of something a friend in Madrid mentioned. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. I would test it for 3 days before deciding. The real boss fight is finding a night everyone is free.

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. This pairs weirdly well with shakshuka.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I learned that one the expensive way.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. The the train station detail changes the whole answer.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

There is probably a middle ground here. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

The manila angle is what sold me. I would test it for 10 days before deciding.
