I finally understand why Baking people care about cookies for absolute beginners

The detail that surprised me was how much the train station changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

I started this because my quiet Sunday felt a little stuck, and pastry seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Honestly, great taste. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error. A squeeze of lemon would probably wake it up.

The care angle is what sold me. I keep a note about cookies for exactly this reason.

Great point, especially the part about baking. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. The 5-minute rule is underrated.
