Today I Learned · by Ren Suzuki · 2026-10-04

Worth reading if you like facts: Voyager Golden Record after 26 tries

en.wikipedia.org

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Today I Learned feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. I am curious whether science still feels good next month.

Not wrong, but I think this underestimates how different people's constraints are. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about record. That is where the boring checklist helps.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. I would write it down before changing anything else.
