A surprisingly useful lesson from the kitchen on a budget

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I started this because my Monday morning felt a little stuck, and ingredients seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

This sounds good, but in practice it can be a bad idea without more context. This is more useful on a tired winter than on a perfect day.

The best answer in the thread, honestly.
