Notes from a very normal winter with Web Dev from the library

I started this because my lunch break felt a little stuck, and ux seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. My friend tried it in Seoul and had the opposite result. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

That is a good boundary.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. My friend tried it in Manila and had the opposite result. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks.

@kabir-12 Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

Good reminder that boring can be good. This pairs weirdly well with banana bread.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I disagree a bit. notes matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.

Could be regional too.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

I am curious what changed your mind.

This sounds good, but in practice it can be a bad idea without more context. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

The framing feels off to me. Not terrible, just not convincing. For me it came down to the practice run.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. This is more useful on a tired Monday morning than on a perfect day. Good reminder that tools should serve people, not the reverse.
