The small budget habit that changed my commute without making it complicated

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 8 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where culture stopped feeling new.

I tried this in Dublin with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. I noticed the same thing in Nairobi.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. The social part surprised me too.

Big fan of this approach.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

That made the concept click.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it.

Kind of wild how often cost is the whole issue.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. I would test it for 5 days before deciding.
