What photos looks like when you stop optimizing everything that actually stuck

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

The detail that surprised me was how much a neighborhood park changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. cats got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

Good reminder that boring can be good. I noticed the same thing in Kuala Lumpur.

Now I want a spreadsheet.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Seoul? This is more useful on a tired quiet Sunday than on a perfect day.

Can you expand on that a bit?

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Appreciate the nuance.

I would love a follow-up example.

Yep, the boring details matter.
