I changed one thing and suddenly jobs made sense in real life

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Careers feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

I tried this in Lisbon with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

This reminds me of something a friend in Toronto mentioned. I noticed the same thing in Berlin. Optionality is underrated.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. The cozy part is easy to underestimate.

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. The social part surprised me too.

Fair pushback.

@runnerMender43 Can you expand on that a bit?

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

That last line is excellent. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Big fan of this approach. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the kitchen.

Big fan of this approach.
