A gentle rant about investing and expectations after 15 tries

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the recipe for a while.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. I would test it for 10 days before deciding.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. I keep a note about debt for exactly this reason.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. For me it came down to the route. The hidden expense is usually time.

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. I am curious whether investing still feels good next month.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

The gentle angle is what sold me. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.
