A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made from my busy month notes

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 6 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the practice run for a while.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where tailoring stopped feeling new.

The beginner angle is what sold me. I am curious whether tailoring still feels good next month. The texture and mood are lovely.

You just saved me a bad purchase.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. The ambitious constraint is probably the real story.

This has cozy competence written all over it. The Monday morning version is even more interesting.
