The thing nobody told me about design

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. walking got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where design stopped feeling new.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the playlist for a while.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 5 months. The chaotic part is easy to underestimate. I love details that only make sense once you've been there.

This has cozy competence written all over it. It sounds small, but the routine matters.

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. I learned that one the expensive way.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.
