I changed one thing and suddenly editing made sense for absolute beginners

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 3 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. photos got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I disagree a bit. made matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. My friend tried it in Cairo and had the opposite result.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Istanbul? My friend tried it in Kuala Lumpur and had the opposite result.

Yep, the boring details matter.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

This made me smile more than expected. I would write it down before changing anything else.

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. A little friction removed goes a long way. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished.
