The most delightful part of learning memes from my Monday morning notes

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 3 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Funny feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I tried this in Toronto with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I would love a follow-up example.

This is the gentle version of my rant.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. The social part surprised me too.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing.

Beautifully concise.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. The commute version is even more interesting.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. I would test it for 10 days before deciding.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

Now I want a spreadsheet.

Great point, especially the part about morning. The Cape Town example makes it feel concrete.

I think both things can be true.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink monday. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

@quietbakes35 Totally agree, especially for beginners.

Fair pushback.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Kind of wild how often opposite is the whole issue.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. I would test it for 7 days before deciding.

My wallet felt that.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. I would test it for 6 days before deciding.

The vibe here is immaculate. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a family dinner.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. The messy constraint is probably the real story.

The vibe here is immaculate. The beautiful part is easy to underestimate.
