The most chaotic part of learning habits before coffee

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 10 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Love the tiny experiment energy. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. I would test it for 4 days before deciding.

Appreciate the nuance.

This has cozy competence written all over it. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

This made me smile more than expected. For me it came down to the practice run.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. I noticed the same thing in Manila.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. The social part surprised me too.
