I tried doing repairs the boring way and it worked after a tiny failure
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the first draft for a while.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

That is a much better way to say it.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

What would you change if you started over? That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. This is more useful on a tired lunch break than on a perfect day. The small imperfections make it feel human.

I wish more posts had this much context. I would love to see a follow-up after 2 weeks.
