A surprisingly useful lesson from a tiny balcony from a trailhead
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the first draft for a while.
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 8 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The the library detail changes the whole answer.

Can you share what you tried before this? It sounds small, but the setup matters.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I would push back gently on the lesson part. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.
