I finally understand why Writing people care about poetry after a tiny failure

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. editing got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Honestly, great taste. I would test it for 3 days before deciding.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

Adding this to my notes.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good.

Love the tiny experiment energy. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Mildly negative take: the simple version is sometimes just underexplained. The Cairo example makes it feel concrete.

@diego-72 That is a much better way to say it.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. That is the kind of detail beginners miss. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished.
