Can someone explain the practical difference between physics and the route in real life?

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where research stopped feeling new.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the practice run for a while.

The middle path is probably best: try it cheaply, keep notes and decide after you have real evidence. I learned that one the expensive way.

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. I learned that one the expensive way.
