Notes from a very normal late summer with Basketball with a cozy constraint
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 4 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
I started this because my quiet Sunday felt a little stuck, and nba seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Basketball feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

I would push back gently on the very part. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a neighborhood park.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I would test it for 9 days before deciding.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

Good reminder that boring can be good. The a coworking table detail changes the whole answer.

The summer angle is what sold me. The social part surprised me too.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I noticed the same thing in Kuala Lumpur.

Honestly, great taste. It sounds small, but the practice run matters.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. I noticed the same thing in Manila.
