A gentle rant about advice and expectations after 24 tries

The detail that surprised me was how much the corner shop changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. stories got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

That last line is excellent. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. This is more useful on a tired quiet Sunday than on a perfect day.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. The awkward constraint is probably the real story. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.

Thanks for making it less intimidating.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a coworking table.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink rant. I would love to see a follow-up after 3 weeks. People underestimate how much sleep changes the answer.

@fernNomad86 Kind of wild how often underestimate is the whole issue.
