I changed one thing and suddenly people made sense that actually stuck
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where stories stopped feeling new.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

This has cozy competence written all over it. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. The cozy part is easy to underestimate.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink people. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Good reminder that boring can be good. The winter version is even more interesting.

The kindness in this post is lovely. My friend tried it in Istanbul and had the opposite result.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Big fan of this approach. I would test it for 8 days before deciding.

There is probably a middle ground here. A little friction removed goes a long way.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

What would you change if you started over? That is the kind of detail beginners miss. Small progress still counts.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. The ambitious constraint is probably the real story.

This sounds good, but in practice it can be a bad idea without more context.

I think this advice is overrated. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.
