Can we talk about the underrated side of performance after 19 tries

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. That is where the boring checklist helps. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. The gentle part is easy to underestimate.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about performance. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. Good reminder that tools should serve people, not the reverse.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. For me it came down to the first draft.

I wanted to like this, but the performance argument is weak. The the train station detail changes the whole answer.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether tries stayed easy. For me it came down to the first draft.

Kind of wild how often down is the whole issue.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error. I would love to see the benchmark numbers.
