My 10-month experiment with biology after a tiny failure

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Science feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. For me it came down to the conversation.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a family dinner.

@chinedu-67 Thanks, that actually helped.

Kind of wild how often dinner is the whole issue.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. This is more useful on a tired late summer than on a perfect day.

Yep, the boring details matter.

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 9 months. I am curious whether biology still feels good next month.

I had the same reaction to biology.

Honestly, great taste. A little friction removed goes a long way. The scale of it still melts my brain a little.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me. This would be a great classroom example.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. I keep a note about research for exactly this reason.
