My 6-month experiment with science without making it complicated

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. technology got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

@us_panda The best answer in the thread, honestly.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. The the corner shop detail changes the whole answer.

Useful intention, poor execution. I would love to see a follow-up after 3 weeks.

Love the tiny experiment energy. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. The São Paulo example makes it feel concrete.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Good reminder that boring can be good. The social part surprised me too.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. I keep a note about technology for exactly this reason.

That is a good boundary.
