A tiny story about jollof rice, Kuala Lumpur and timing before coffee

I tried this in Warsaw with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I started this because my winter felt a little stuck, and tools seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where tools stopped feeling new.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. I learned that one the expensive way. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks.

Appreciate the nuance.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I disagree a bit. timing matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. My friend tried it in Dublin and had the opposite result.
