The most surprising part of learning indie after 3 tries
I tried this in Lagos with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where console stopped feeling new.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. The quiet constraint is probably the real story.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a neighborhood park.

@tola-96 Yep, the boring details matter.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting.

Great point, especially the part about learning. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. I am curious whether pc still feels good next month.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. My friend tried it in Seoul and had the opposite result. Co-op makes almost anything better.

I do not have a strong take, but the surprising detail is useful. The rainy evening version is even more interesting.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 10 months. My friend tried it in Berlin and had the opposite result. The real boss fight is finding a night everyone is free.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. I would love to see a follow-up after 4 weeks. I can already hear the menu music.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. This is more useful on a tired quiet Sunday than on a perfect day.
