I changed one thing and suddenly learning made sense from my weekend notes
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the recipe for a while.
I started this because my busy month felt a little stuck, and architecture seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. architecture got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. I noticed the same thing in Lagos.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I keep a note about debugging for exactly this reason. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about notes. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a tiny balcony. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. A small test case would make this easier to trust.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The social part surprised me too.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. This is more useful on a tired commute than on a perfect day.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about learning. The social part surprised me too. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks.

Honestly, great taste. The ambitious constraint is probably the real story.
