How do you know when to stop tweaking languages as a beginner?

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I tried this in Jakarta with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about tweaking. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

@demo That is a good boundary.

Context matters here, so compare the local norm with your own constraints before deciding. The trap is trying to optimize before you have feedback.

- Do ten minutes daily instead of one giant weekend session.
- Save phrases you actually want to say.
- Speak badly on purpose; fluency needs reps.

That should give you a solid first pass.
