A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made without making it complicated

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

I tried this in Cape Town with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. tactics got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the routine for a while.

The vibe here is immaculate. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

I would love a follow-up example.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. I would test it for 3 days before deciding.

This reminds me of something a friend in Mexico City mentioned. The ambitious constraint is probably the real story.
