My favorite low-effort upgrade for artists on a budget

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

This feels like advice from a patient friend. I would write it down before changing anything else.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I would love to see a follow-up after 10 weeks.

Great point, especially the part about budget. It sounds small, but the route matters.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. This belongs on a rainy evening list.

Great point, especially the part about favorite. I learned that one the expensive way.

I wanted to like this, but the upgrade argument is weak. I keep a note about artists for exactly this reason. I love when a recommendation comes with the right mood attached.

I wish more posts had this much context. The the corner shop detail changes the whole answer.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. My only addition is to make the first step visible.
