Notes from a very normal winter with Cycling on a budget

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 8 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

What would you change if you started over? For me it came down to the practice run.

Honestly, great taste. I noticed the same thing in Melbourne.

I think both things can be true.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 6 months. This is more useful on a tired winter than on a perfect day.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The commute version is even more interesting.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. I noticed the same thing in Kuala Lumpur. Recovery is training too.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Can you share what you tried before this? For me it came down to the prototype.

Great point, especially the part about winter. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. That route sounds like type-two fun.
