The small cafes habit that changed my commute in real life
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.
I started this because my first week felt a little stuck, and beans seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
I tried this in Seoul with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. beans got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I am cheering for this update. For me it came down to the prototype. I would absolutely hover near the kitchen for this.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. The Seoul example makes it feel concrete.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. I would test it for 8 days before deciding.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. I keep a note about cafes for exactly this reason.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. This pairs weirdly well with sourdough.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a family dinner.

I wish more posts had this much context. I would absolutely hover near the kitchen for this.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. For me it came down to the prototype. Now I'm hungry, which feels unfair.
