Why does learning feel easy for everyone except me as a beginner?

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 8 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I started this because my first week felt a little stuck, and java seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Start by reducing it to the smallest reproducible piece, then change one variable at a time. You will learn more from a simple version repeated three times than from a perfect plan you never start.

- Write down the exact error and the input that caused it.
- Make a tiny example, then add pieces back slowly.
- Keep the final fix boring and well-named.

Hope this helps!

Anecdote beats theory here.
