Notes from a very normal quiet Sunday with Writing after a tiny failure

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. fiction got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Writing feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. I am curious whether fiction still feels good next month.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. The 4-minute rule is underrated. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished.

@urban_luca48 Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.
