What community looks like when you stop optimizing everything

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 3 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

The detail that surprised me was how much the library changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 2 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

That would annoy me more than it helped. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. I would test it for 8 days before deciding.

My wallet felt that.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a tiny balcony. Small progress still counts.

The like angle is what sold me. The 3-minute rule is underrated.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. This is more useful on a tired late summer than on a perfect day. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.
