Why does evidence feel easy for everyone except me when life is busy?

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the setup for a while.

My practical advice is to make the next step tiny enough that you can do it today. Momentum usually answers half the question. The the corner shop detail changes the whole answer.

Kind of wild how often momentum is the whole issue.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

A useful way to think about it is mechanism first: what changes, what stays constant, and what evidence would distinguish the two. You will learn more from a simple version repeated three times than from a perfect plan you never start.

- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

That should give you a solid first pass.
