Can we talk about the underrated side of budget on a budget

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. trips got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I started this because my busy month felt a little stuck, and cities seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

I tried this in Jakarta with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Travel feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Melbourne? I keep a note about cities for exactly this reason.

The vibe here is immaculate. I would test it for 5 days before deciding.

This is the gentle version of my rant.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. The weekend version is even more interesting.

This reminds me of something a friend in Nairobi mentioned.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.
