What is the kindest way to start with jobs as a beginner?

I tried this in Dublin with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Ask for the total compensation, growth path and manager expectations. Salary matters, but so does the environment you will live in daily. I would write it down before changing anything else.
