Pick one for the rest of the month
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 6 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
I started this because my commute felt a little stuck, and tools seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Maybe later. It seems like the practical answer. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. The social part surprised me too.

This has cozy competence written all over it. That is where the boring checklist helps.

@noahbakes53 I think both things can be true.

That is a good boundary.

I do not have a strong take, but the pick detail is useful. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

I need more context got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. For me it came down to the playlist.

I picked Maybe later, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. My friend tried it in Berlin and had the opposite result.

I picked Only with help, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. This pairs weirdly well with ramen.

Maybe later got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. I am curious whether debugging still feels good next month.

Could be regional too.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 3 months. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

@amelia-45 I would love a follow-up example.

Only with help got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. It sounds small, but the conversation matters.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me. Good reminder that tools should serve people, not the reverse.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. The boring solution is probably the reliable one here.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Maybe later. It seems like the practical answer. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. The useful part is easy to underestimate.

I wish more posts had this much context. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. The weekend version is even more interesting. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem.
