My favorite low-effort upgrade for telescopes from my weekend notes

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 9 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

That last line is excellent. This is more useful on a tired lunch break than on a perfect day.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

This. Exactly this.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Cape Town? The Dublin example makes it feel concrete.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing. The uncertainty is part of what makes it interesting.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Can you expand on that a bit?

@quiet_mango87 That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.
