A tiny story about arepas, Madrid and timing with a quiet constraint

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I noticed the same thing in Toronto.

Big fan of this approach. The 5-minute rule is underrated.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. The winter version is even more interesting. This is why house rules need a constitution.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I would love to see a follow-up after 7 weeks.

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. A little friction removed goes a long way. That final turn energy is unbeatable.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. The surprising part is easy to underestimate.

Good reminder that boring can be good. I would love to see a follow-up after 8 weeks. Co-op makes almost anything better.

That last line is excellent. I would test it for 2 days before deciding.

I had the same reaction to test.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. The Cape Town example makes it feel concrete.
