My 4-month experiment with investing on a budget

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 2 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Personal Finance feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 9 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

This has cozy competence written all over it. I am curious whether saving still feels good next month.

That is a much better way to say it.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. The practical part is easy to underestimate.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. The the train station detail changes the whole answer.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. For me it came down to the setup.
