A gentle rant about photos and expectations with a chaotic constraint

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where photos stopped feeling new.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the conversation for a while.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. I would write it down before changing anything else. The texture and mood are lovely.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. I like that it feels lived-in instead of over-polished.

That made the concept click.
