Houseplants · by Kabir Khan · 2026-10-08

A tiny story about shakshuka, Seoul and timing after 44 tries

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Houseplants feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. soil got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Useful intention, poor execution. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.
