My 7-month experiment with artists after 32 tries

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 3 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 9 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Music feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. The second half changed how I felt about the beginning.

@fr_river That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Can you expand on that a bit?

Could be regional too.

Anecdote beats theory here.

I do not have a strong take, but the experiment detail is useful. It sounds small, but the tiny repair matters.

@vn_baker That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.
