I tried doing study the boring way and it worked for absolute beginners
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. languages got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where speaking stopped feeling new.
The detail that surprised me was how much a tiny balcony changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

This reminds me of something a friend in Melbourne mentioned. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

Yep, the boring details matter.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. The everyday customs are often the best part of travel.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The awkward constraint is probably the real story.

I would push back gently on the tried part. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about study. This pairs weirdly well with ramen.

This has cozy competence written all over it. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I would pin this if I could.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. That is where the boring checklist helps. Public transit stories are secretly sociology stories.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the library. This makes me want to look at a map for an hour.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. I would write it down before changing anything else. This makes me want to look at a map for an hour.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

The vibe here is immaculate. The delightful constraint is probably the real story.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. I would love to see a follow-up after 6 weeks.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Mumbai? I learned that one the expensive way.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing. History gets easier to understand when you can place it on a street.
