Unpopular Opinions · by Sofía Hernández · 2026-10-08

A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made after 16 tries

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Unpopular Opinions feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the library. I needed this reminder today.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

This made me smile more than expected. The Warsaw example makes it feel concrete. This is kinder advice than most of the internet manages.
